Under the direction of the Capital Program Manager, the Senior Grants Accountant is responsible for all grant and project accounting while working closely with the Capital and Grants Planner, Capital Program Analyst, Project Managers, and various funding agencies. This position requires exceptional organization and communication skills to synthesize multiple data points and translate complex information into comprehensible reporting for end-users. The right candidate is concerned with the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, consistently advocates for the best practices, and is motivated by the opportunity to increase internal customer adoption of these practices. Attributes and Skill Sets:
Education and Experience:
Three years’ minimum senior accounting level experience and advanced computer and analysis skills are required. Project Management, Program Management or grants accounting experience preferred. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics is required. Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills are essential.

Salary Range: $84,849 - $117,144 (Depending on Qualifications)
Compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors specific to each candidate, including geographic location, skillset, the mix of relevant education, certifications, experience level, and performance. At Long Beach Transit, compensation decisions are made considering the unique requirements and circumstances of each position.
