The Regulatory Compliance and Civil Rights Officer (RCCRO) assists with the coordination of civil rights programs to ensure regulatory compliance of state and federal laws for Long Beach Transit (LBT).
The RCCRO assists with monitoring and facilitating the application of regulatory guidelines, organizational compliance and Civil Rights programs including, but not limited to, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VI programs.
This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers. The incumbent must have knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable state and federal laws and regulations, and to coordinate programs that address the necessary laws and regulations to support LBT’s mission. This position reports to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Civil Rights

Education and/or Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with relevant coursework in public administration, business administration, or related field, is required. Two years of related experience is required. Applicable coursework and/or training in federal/state civil rights laws and regulations are desired. Prior transportation experience is preferred but not required. A combination of qualifying experience/skills and education to fulfill the requisites may be considered.
Salary Range: $84,849-$117,144 per year (Depending on Experience)
Compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors specific to each candidate, including geographic location, skillset, the mix of relevant education, certifications, experience level, and performance. At Long Beach Transit, compensation decisions are made considering the unique requirements and circumstances of each position.
